Adjusting to your 1st Pair of Spectacles

Congratulations on the purchase of your new spectacles!  We trust you will be very happy with them.  Not only will you be able to see better, but your new spectacles will improve your quality of life.

As this is your 1st pair, here are a few important things to remember.

  1. Always remove your spectacles with both hands.
  2. Never ever put the glasses down on the lenses.
  3. Avoid using your shirt to clean them.
  4. Use your spectacles ONLY for the purpose they were intended for.

You will most likely experience the need for some adjustment time so your eyes and brain get used to this artificial lens you have just put on.

If you experience headaches, dizziness or possibly even blurrier vision, this unfortunately is normal within the 1st couple of weeks.  If this continues after 2 weeks, do not hesitate to come back to discuss this with us.

When you put on your spectacles in the store, you may be very happy with the way they feel, but after a few hours or days, you might find they are too loose or too tight.

It may be necessary to come back for some fine tuning on the fitting. This is also very normal.  It may also be necessary to come back from time to time for re-adjusting & tightening due to wear and tear.  This is a free service for the life of your spectacles.

We hope you enjoy wearing your new spectacles and we look forward to see you again for your next eyewear purchase or simply for any adjustments to your current eyewear.

From the Staff and Management.
